Adult Group Grief Support

Six-week program

What is Grief?

This week introduces the concept of grief, exploring its emotional, physical, and mental effects. Participants will learn about the different ways people experience grief and gain insights into the grieving process, helping them understand and normalize their feelings.

Making Connections

During this week, participants will have the opportunity to connect with others who are going through similar experiences. Sharing stories and feelings within a supportive group helps individuals feel less isolated and fosters mutual understanding, validation, and empathy.

Remembering: Honoring Your Loved Ones

Focusing on the positive memories of those who have passed, this week will guide participants in ways to honor and celebrate the lives of their loved ones. It may include rituals, memorial activities, or simply reflecting on their impact, helping to acknowledge their legacy.

Keeping Memories Alive – Maintaining Connections

This session explores how to continue feeling connected to the deceased, even after their physical presence is no longer there. Whether through personal rituals, cherished items, or shared stories, participants will be encouraged to maintain these connections in a healthy and meaningful way.

The Journey Ahead

In the final week, the focus shifts to the ongoing nature of grief and personal healing. Participants will reflect on how far they have come, what tools have helped them, and how to continue moving forward in their healing journey. Emphasis is placed on self-care, resilience, and creating a path for the future while honoring the past.
